About
As an artist-turned-welder, I have spent years exploring different mediums to express my creativity, eventually landing on metalworking.
After leaving the military, I went to welding school and landed my first job outside the classroom as a metalsmith for a local shop. With Jack Klahm as my mentor, I learned so many possibilities as to what one can do with metal beyond simple shapes and stamped parts - If you can think it, you can forge it!
Those skills as a metalsmith have stuck with me as I have moved into other industries. For the last several years I have worked primarily in the pharmaceutical industry - designing, building, and welding high purity water systems with the use of orbital welding technologies.
Learning the joy in creating something from nothing has also given me the opportunity to share my knowledge as a welding instructor at the local community college.
